The area is especially known for producing outstanding Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but produces a number of other varietals, including Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. And Solvang is home to a number of area tasting rooms, many of which welcome visitors year round.
