As you pull up to WorldMark Midway, you might think you took a wrong turn along the way and ended up in Switzerland.

WorldMark owners now have units available in Midway, Utah, a Swiss-themed sleepy little town in Wasatch County, known for its annual Swiss Days Festival. The resort, which resembles a Swiss chalet, sits on the eastern slope of the Wasatch Mountains, just a half-hour drive from two world-class ski resorts and about one hour from Salt Lake City. Now that’s enough to make anyone yodel.

This is the coastal experience as it should be—intimate, refreshing, beautiful and full of nature’s drama. And you've got the best seats in the house.

Ski Utah

Imagine flying down the powdery slopes of Deer Valley Resort, the same slopes that hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics; or visualize boardsliding a rail to heart-pumping music at the Park City Mountain Resort. But just because the snow stops doesn’t mean the fun does. Both ski resorts bustle with summer activities as well: mountain biking, horseback riding, innovative rides, concert series, and even adventure camps for kids.

Nearby fun

For outdoor adventures closer to Midway, visit the Wasatch Mountain State Park, just a half-mile from your resort. This park offers year-round recreation including golfing, horseback riding, hiking, picnicking, cross-country skiing, tubing, and a “children’s-only” fishing hole.

Golf at your door

WorldMark Midway is located near holes 4 and 5 of the Homestead Resort Golf Course, a 7,000-yard, par-72 course that stretches through the Wasatch Mountains and Snake Creek Valley. The course also offers a “Golf Wasatch” program, which can arrange for advanced tee times at four area golf courses near your resort.

Outside and in

The Swiss-themed exterior of WorldMark Midway is the same style used on every building in the town. In fact, it’s required. In honor of its Swiss founders, Midway adopted a building code stating that a certain percentage of the exterior architecture must be Swiss in style.

Interiors, however, can be what they want, and WorldMark Midway chose to reflect the beauty of the natural surroundings by using earth tones throughout. The inspiration for the beiges, tans, and browns comes from the tones of the soil and countryside. Green colors are taken from the trees in the area, and splashes of subtle reds parallel the vibrant colors of autumn. And the standard WorldMark amenities are, of course, present in every unit. All but four of the 2-bedrooms have Murphy beds, and each unit has two full baths and a BBQ on the patio or deck. If it’s cold outside, you can still go swimming in the indoor pool or relax in the adjoining hot tub.

Whether you stay inside, or venture out to “Utah’s mountain playground,” you’re sure to be as happy as Heidi, when her grandfather gave her a goat.
